Jul 4, 2011 at 12:43 PM

Hi friends

When I want generate a new TMK encrypted under a previously generated 3DES ZMK (T....),The respond was error 26:

Error: Invalid Key Scheme.

I have used all possible combinations of key schemes (T, Z, X, Y , V) with commands A0, NE, and HA,

but the result was the same, What is wrong with schemes?

Can you post the traces for the commands you've tried?

I have sent following commands :

Step 1: Request for 3DES ZMK:

Request A0: [ header + A0 + 0 + 000 + T ]

Response A1: [ header + A1 + T7E1... ]   A ZMK of 1+48+6 byte long .

Step2: Request for a DES TMK:

Request A0 Mode1 : [ header + A0 + 1 + 002 + Z + ;1 + T7E1... + T ]  the ZMK without check value is used (1+48)

Response A1: [ header + A1 + 26 ] Invalid Key Scheme

I have the feeling that the semicolon before in the second A0 command should not be there. Can you verify this?

The response will not change when Step 2 changed as this:

Step2: Request for a DES TMK:

Request A0 Mode1 : [ header + A0 + 1 + 002 + Z + (T7E1...) + V or Z ]  the ZMK is (1+48)

Response A1: [ header + A1 + 26 ] Invalid Key Scheme

Curiously I get an exception with the simulator using A0 with your data. There was an error in the XML definition. This was fixed in the 67816 changeset which you can download here. Alternatively you can edit the GenerateKey_A0.xml file and change the key scheme LMK and key scheme ZMK entries (both should be of type Character instead of Hexadecimal).
